VICO Indonesia has set up targets of 10% below 2001 baseline levels until 2010. In order to achieve the target, VICO Indonesia is performing GHG management through :
Inventory GHG emission sources
Establish baseline report and continual improvement
Identify opportunity to reduce GHG emission
Focusing on CO2 and CH4 emissions, VICO Indonesia conducts the inventory of GHG source which consists of Direct Emission from Field Operations and Indirect Emission from Jakarta office.
VICO Indonesia also provide GHG database to record and track the activities related with GHG emissions. The supporting system will calculate the GHG emissions.
GHG reduction program continuous efforts are gas to air instrument replacement, install Very Low Pressure (25Psig) Compressor, improve engine performance, install blow-down protable compressor, alter crude oil diesel fuel pump into electric pump, etc. The recent effort is recover Low Pressure Gas using Vapor Reduction Unit (VRU) Compressors. This effort is expected to deliver GHG Reduction and additional gas production.
